Clemson Upsets Miami In Overtime

Posted on Monday, May 31, 2010 in Entertainment

The Clemson Tigers used a touchdown pass on their first possession of overtime to upset the Miami Hurricanes 40-37 on Saturday night to cap a back and forth game. Miami kicked a field goal on their first possession of overtime to take the lead, but Clemson responded with a seldom used play on third and 11 to get the victory as quarterback Kyle Parker completed a 27 yard touchdown pass to Jacoby Ford. College football betting devotees who backed Clemson as +4 road underdogs eventually cashed their tickets, but they definitely earned their money in a game that saw twelve lead changes and two ties. Clemson improved to 5-2 against the spread with the cover, while Miami dropped to 4-3 against the money. The 77 combined points sailed OVER the posted total of 43. After the game, Jacoby Ford explained the logic for his suggesting the surprise play in the huddle: "We knew this game was going to come down to who made more plays. And we did." Miami has a history of winning when their offense is clicking-this loss was only the second in 115 games when the Hurricanes score 37 or more points dating back to'85. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was just glad this one is over: "I have a birthday next month and I think I'm going to turn 50 instead of 40. We had to put on Superman capes. We made plenty of mistakes that could have lost us the game, but they played with poise and confidence. We just kept battling." CJ Spiller was also a big factor for the Tigers as he set a school record with 310 all purpose yards including a 90 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. He also added 81 yards rushing and 104 yards receiving with a 56 yard touchdown catch. Clemson QB Parker suggested that last week's win over Wake Forrest was a turning point for his team: "I think last week we realized that we could be really good and this week we acted on it. I thought we really got some explosive plays and we played well." Miami's quarterback Jason Harris sounded a markedly different tone in his postgame comments: "This has to be my toughest loss here. We fought so hard throughout the game as a team and didn't come out with the victory. We let Clemson outwork us, we turned the ball over too much -- little things that made us get to this point." Clemson will host FCS foe Coastal Carolina next Saturday before resuming ACC play the following week at home against Florida State. They'll travel to North Carolina State on November--. Miami plays two of their next three on the road, starting next weekend at Wake Forest. Ross Everett is a freelance sports writer and respected authority on sports betting odds comparison. SEO A Craze In E-Marketing

Posted on Sunday, May 30, 2010 in Business

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is now the biggest thing around in the land of Internet Marketing. People are now using SEO more just to keep up with the fast paced internet and where online marketing is heading. It is known that successful entrepreneurs use SEO. SEO is the practice or technique of ranking your site as high as possible when your chosen keywords are searched for. The sites in which come up first on the Google searches are know as Search Engine Optimized Sites. Generally speaking you need to optimize your site to reflect your chosen keywords. We do this because people search for keywords and not for website addresses generally. There are some great ideas and techniques for optimizing your web site, but the concern is the principles are changing very quickly and what may have worked last year may not work now. There are countless resources and books and e-books and you name it, there are people out there willing to help you increase your ranking, some you will need to pay for but undoubtedly most information is generally free, and very useful. In particular e-books are updated daily to reflect the latest buzz on SEO. Outsourcing is a good option if you have reached a point in your business where you can afford to pay others to do all your marketing for you. This is good, as it allows you to move on to other things or improve you business, and optimize you customer service, or whatever drives your business model. These SEO techniques fall under what we call White Hat SEO. SEO can really produce some great results, and while it has some great advantages it can be a risk to your site and reputation. It is important to do your research before hiring it for your website. Search Engine Optimisation follows various existing search engine optimisation methods like robots exclusion method (prevention of crawling), crawling i.e. getting indexed, and increasing prominence by cross linking. Black Hat SEO or Spamdexing is another technique where it uses keyword stuffing, farming links, as well as article spinning methods that take down both the user-experience of search engines and the relevant search results. Search engines that apply these methods into a website are just to remove the site from the forefingers. Before deciding a particular SEO method to optimize your website you should acquire some basic knowledge what it is and why to use. Hence you can judge which method well suit to your existing website. Otherwise choosing randomly would charge you extravagant money and time. Search Engine results these days are now crawling with SEO material, so you can see that it is powerful, so get on board and check out the opportunities with SEO. Raise Capital Fast – OTCBB – Global Expansion Consultants

Posted on Saturday, May 29, 2010 in Business

Global finance is a convergence of polar opposites. It's a hybrid element that is the result of merging bankruptcy and profitability and the infusion of the ethically inclined and the ethically obscene. The obtuse minded institutional banking system and the endless motivational depth of the prototypical entrepreneur clash and a give and take, debt and debtor mentality evolves. This evolution results in the crisis of indentured servitude where the banks will give but will take much more. The entrepreneur is often stranded without the means for economic defense in difficult times and the FDIC backed lender moves in to take assets whose value are derived by number crunchers in a backroom and the bank's corporate headquarters. Business owners will often sign their lives away in order to obtain modest loans and lines of credit, the financial equivalent to signing your soul away to the devil in blood. As a globalization consultant I am constantly hearing from small and medium size companies who have proprietary patents and technology and will put them up as collateral for financing. I must admit, at times its tempting to facilitate a merger between them and an existing client that will result in instantaneous profitability and distribution for my client and the end for this uninformed startup. If you are an upstart you need to evaluate your options before signing on that dotted line and giving up a pound of flesh. Banks should only be used as a last resort. Venture capital funds should only be considered if all else fails. Your key to raising capital is to go directly to the public via vehicles such as a Private Placement Memorandum (Regulation D Rule 504, 505 and 506) which will allow you to sell stock in your company in return for capital and the ultimate in maximum capitalization would be to go public on the OTCBB (Over The Counter Bulletin Board), NASDAQ or NYSE. Even the London Exchange or Frankfurt Exchange are better options then institutional lending sources. Taking your company public, growth through acquisition and merger and solidifying your public position with a hefty amount of corporate publicity and hardcore investor relations, this is what will get you to the next level. Experience Nature With Kai Perfume

Posted on Friday, May 28, 2010 in Advertising

Meant to capture the breezy and tropical scent of Hawaii, Gaye Straza Rappaport developed Kai perfumes for Kai Fragrances. This sought-after fragrance has started from the beginnings of the Kai couture which Rappaport sold in Malibu, California in 1999. She then continued with the fragrance and beauty line with Kai. As the name suggests, Kai means "Ocean" in Hawaiian language and is exactly what the perfume aims to bring you - nature. With its floral yet not overwhelming scent, Kai perfume is best for daily use. It is perfect for that laid-back afternoon for a walk in the park or simply at home with a good book. You can also enjoy it while having coffee at work to ease your stress away. However, it can also be a good every day work perfume with the ranks of Ghost Perfume and other feminine brands. The fragrance designer of this celebrity famous fragrance is Gaye Straza Rappaport. After a vacation in Hawaii, she wanted to capture the tropical aura of the beach and bring it back to the city. After developing the fragrance, she opened a shop in Malibu, California where she sold her first Kai perfume. After selling the boutique, she continued with the Kai perfume and beauty products to cater to the ever-growing market that has said to be of a cult following. The cool and simplistic notes of the Kai perfume includes white flowers like jasmine, lily, and tuberose but is overpowered with gardenia which captures the serene floral scent of the Hawaiian islands. Celebrities with the likes of Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Charlize Theron, Oprah Winfrey, Naomi Watts and Reese Witherspoon are only among a few who have pledged their loyalty to this brand. For a good relaxing start, you can also have the same Kai perfume aroma of the Kai body wash. As you lather, you will feel the creamy subtleness of gardenia and the freshness of cucumber, comfrey and ivy. Add the exotic essences of palm, coconut and olive oil with the Kai body buffer and experience the fresh and clean feeling of the scented bubbles as it exfoliate, cleanse and moisturize your skin. The Kai body butter gives you he silky and smooth souffl that moisturizes tired and dehydrated skin. It has sunflower seed oil, Shea butter, cucumber and apricot kernel oil. Vitamins C, A and E are added to give your skin that extra glow. The Kai body lotion gives you the lightly scented aroma of the Kai perfume and has jojoba oil, aloe Vera and seaweed to moisturize your skin without getting sticky. Getting the full Kai beauty line and the Kai perfume specifically is a must have for a temporary getaway from the busy streets of the city. Nadine Vankurk is a "jitterbug" when it comes to perfume. Learn Everything About Iphone Solar Charger

Posted on Thursday, May 27, 2010 in Technology

In order to use your solar powered iphone more effectively, you need to know how to get the best use out of it. In this article you will learn how to determine charging, how to use, where to charge, and my experience using the solar charger. Follow this advice and you will be ahead of the curve in the solar charger for the iphone era. You are probably reading this so you can learn more about the charger if so, you are on track, let us start. The beginning is always the easiest, at least on this subject. Unpack the Surge from the box, make sure you have the USB Cable, Surge, and the instruction booklet. If you happen to notice the plastic film on the solar panel of the unit, simply remove it. It is a protective film from when it was in the manufacturing process. Just think of it as peeling off that new film off a new cell phone, it is the same concept here. Have your laptop or desktop near by and make sure it has a USB Port. Take the USB and plug it into the USB Port on your computer and then take the other end and plug it into the bottom side of the iphone solar charger. You are to charge the Surge for 3 hours for the initial charge. This way the battery inside of the Surge is fully charged. After the 3 hours you can unplug the USB from both the computer and the Surge. You will want to slide the iphone into the Surge from the top. Please DO NOT FORCE the iphone into the Surge. The charger is made specifically for the iphone, so it will fit perfect, as long as you slide it from the top and press down into it until it is on the 30 pin connector. If you force it, you could damage both the Surge and the Iphone. The solar powered case is ready for use. Now go on and live like you would like nothing has changed, if you do not and constantly think about the solar charger, it will drive you nuts, believe me. Go to the mall, the store, whatever it is that you do. Soon down the line, you will want to start using the solar power, correct? That is one of the major reasons for purchasing the solar charger. Keep reading, because we are about to talk about how to get the best use out of the iphone solar charger. This is a tool that is needed if your own Surge. It is the Solar Planner for the iPhone. It has the ability to tell you exactly how long to keep the Surge in the sun once you select the desire function will want to use. After you choose, the time will read at the bottom and you will then know the exact time length to have it under the sun. This App really helps in figuring out all this solar power math techno jargon. Here are some recommendations of where you should place the iphone solar charger when you are ready to charge it. If you are at the office, I suggest you place it in front of your window sill if available, if not, on the computer desk as long as you have sunlight coming through the windows, place the charger in front of it. You will see a little red light on the Surge come on, but make sure you do not stand in front of the light when you check the red indicator light. If you are at home, do the same thing. Additionally, I have done some testing and you can charge it with indoor lighting, but the Surge has to be in front of the bulb very close. I recommend you stick with the outdoor lighting. If you are at the beach, whenever you are not using the solar charger, leave the Surge upwards facing the sun. And if you are using it, do the same thing. Here is the way I use my iphone solar charger case. I charge my Surge and iphone throughout the night. And when I am able to leave in the morning, I unplug both and head off to work. I place the Surge facing up in the passenger sear or dashboard, it depends though, I do not want to let the Surge slide out the window. And then on my drive, the Surge gets as much sun juice as possible. At the office I plug in the iPhone into the Surge and head into the office. And then on Fridays, I will take the charger and iphone into work. And then around 2 or 3pm I put the charger back into my car, crack the window for a breeze, and put the solar charger on the dash so it does not overhead. And I do this on Fridays because after work, all of us head out to the bar or restaurants and my iphone solar powered case has a full charge and is ready for the night. I hope that you can see how to get the best use of your iphone solar charger and that you take action to get the same bang for your buck. Learn why others are buying the iphone solar charger. Here is what what one person said about the solar powered iphone case.
